Although IRD Mechanalysis Inc. of Columbus Ohio USA and Chester England are now closed, a selection of the excellent products it carved its name world-wide continue to be made in India. These have been modernised but made to the same or better standards that IRD was respected for globally.
Mechanalysis India Ltd (MIL) made a wide range of IRD products under license as a joint venture company. When the mother organisation was acquired and closed down, it was contractually agreed that MIL could continue to manufacture and distribute under the original IRD brand even though MIL owns the Registered Trade Mark of IRDŽ. However, since there was some confusion in the Indian market we decided at the time to use Mechanalysis India Limited (MIL) as the brand name and prefix all products with MIL, e.g. IRD model 306 became MIL306 etc.
Mechanalysis had also registered and had owned the IRDŽ brand in India and the decision was taken in 2011 to return to its time honoured roots as IRD Mechanalysis Ltd.
As a manufacturing system integrator IRD in India is certified to ISO9001:2008 and currently manufactures the former IRD products listed below. It has, over the years, considerably updated them using the latest components with higher precision and improved reliability but maintaining the same functionality. The company will continue to enhance the packaging of its products to further improved sustainability. It is worth noting that the products listed have been 'hardened' to survive the severe climatic and power conditions prevailing in India. All IRD products are calibrated to traceable National Standards.
